Privacy Policy
Last updated: 22 July 2026
Overview
This Privacy Policy explains how FindMyFuture.AI ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, shares and protects information when you use our Android app and our website at findmyfuture.in. We built FindMyFuture for India's engineering students and freshers, and we are committed to collecting only what we need, being transparent about it, and never selling your personal data.
Information we collect
Account information. When you sign in with Google or GitHub, we receive your name, email address and profile identifier from that provider, used to create and secure your account.
Learning activity and progress. Your in-app activity — roadmaps, quizzes and Aptitude Arena attempts, DSA practice, XP, streaks, badges, assessments and certificates — so we can show your progress and personalise your experience.
Content you provide. Information you choose to enter, including résumé text you add to the Resume Builder, short voice recordings you make in SpeakEasy interview practice, posts and answers you share in community features, and project details (including GitHub links and a written pitch) you submit to Build / the innovation programme.
Device and diagnostic data. Standard technical data such as device model, operating-system version, app version, language, and crash and performance diagnostics, used to keep the app reliable.
Notification token. A push-notification identifier (Firebase Cloud Messaging token) so we can deliver notifications you have chosen to receive.
Microphone and voice recordings
SpeakEasy lets you practise speaking by recording a short answer. When you tap record, audio is captured only for that session and sent securely to a speech-to-text provider to produce a transcript, which is then reviewed by AI to give you feedback. We use the microphone only when you actively start a recording, never in the background, and the audio is not used for advertising or any unrelated purpose. Voice audio is not retained after your transcript and feedback are generated.
Permissions we use — and what we don't collect
The app requests only: microphone (for SpeakEasy, as above), notifications (which you can decline or turn off), and, on older Android versions, storage (to save files such as your certificate or résumé). We do not collect your location, contacts, phone number, call/SMS data, or track you across other apps.
How we use your information
We use your information to run and improve FindMyFuture — to power your roadmaps and progress, personalise your Future Twin, evaluate your résumé and practice answers, generate certificates, deliver notifications you control, and diagnose and fix problems. We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.
Third-party services and AI processing
We rely on trusted providers to deliver the service, and share the minimum data needed for each to do its job:
- Google / Firebase — sign-in, secure app services, crash and analytics diagnostics, and push notifications.
- AI processing providers (including Groq, OpenRouter and Sarvam) — to power features such as speech transcription, résumé review, translations and project evaluation. Relevant text or audio you submit is sent to these providers to generate your result.
Notifications
The app may send learning reminders and motivational nudges. These are capped and respectful, and you can turn them off at any time from your device settings or within the app.
Data retention and deletion
We keep your account information and activity for as long as your account is active. You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your account and associated data at any time by emailing us at the address below; we will action verified deletion requests within a reasonable period, except where we are required to retain certain records by law.
Data security
We protect your data with industry-standard measures, including encryption in transit. No system is perfectly secure, but we work continuously to safeguard your information and limit access to it.
Children
FindMyFuture is intended for students and young adults preparing for higher education and careers. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under the age required by applicable law without appropriate consent.
Your choices and rights
You can update your profile, control notifications and app permissions from your device settings, and request access to or deletion of your data as described above.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected here with a new "last updated" date.
